Fuel costs, road taxes such as wide load permits and non operating vehicles all play a role in determining the costs of your transport costs. The least expensive way is to deal with a self employed truck driver that does the work him/herself. These folks do this kind of work day in and day out and know what is needed. They are also insured just like the larger companies. If you choose to work with a dealer be prepared to be a minimum of one to three hundred additional dollars. The internet is where you found your newly acquired treasure why not look there when it comes to transporting it. You can do something as easy as posting your needs or try searching shipping or car transporting companies. Some shippers also offer a service where they take your needs and send them off to ten or more other shippers to allow you to receive many quotes. Then just sit back a let the quotes come to you. One dollar per mile is a good and fair price when it comes to shipping cars, two dollars per mile when it comes to shipping a boat. When it comes to getting your boat, truck or car shipped to you be sure to shop around and explore the many avenues. With a little research and determination you will be sure to get exactly what you want.
